Akhirnya update lagi setelah sekian lama :') *tepuktangan*
Berhubung belum punya bahan untuk posting, ini sekedar repost dari Tumblr gue ;) (link ada di page sebelah kanan). Isinya kesan dan pesan setelah namatin Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Yesyesyes I'm an otaku for this series :)))
Whoaaa~ what a wrap! I just finished the tearful
road of watching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and it was such the
best anime I’ve ever watched! I am not an anime nerd but when it comes
to FMA Brotherhood I’ll give no doubt: I am this anime’s biggest admirer
XD This anime is extremely good. If I have to describe it in words, it
will be like TOUCHING, BRAVE, HEART-BREAKING, EMOTIONAL and, of
course, AWESOME!!!
For me, this is a
memorable time since it was not easy for me to catch this anime up until
the ending. It began when I was in senior high school; maybe on the
second grade to be precise. I had TV cable in my house and I knew FMA
Brotherhood through Animax. At first, I knew nothing at all about this
anime. The ads said that this was the most anticipated anime in year
2009. Then my curiosity led me to start watching. Since then, I tried to
never miss the broadcast of this anime in TV. In short, this anime
captured my heart. Perhaps it’s because of the cuteness and great spirit
of Elric brothers. I LOVE them so much. Besides that, I always love
action. Since this anime offered me big portions of it, there’s no way
for me not to fall in love.
Then, this unfortunate
event came. My father accidentally changed the TV cable package, which
did not include Animax channel!!! It was devastating (really) and it
made me so upset. He refused to switch the package again even though I
begged for countless times… I only watched the episode up
to twenty-something; still a long way to finish. It upset me more when I
saw the TV schedule and there was FMA Brotherhood airing but I could
not turn on the channel T-T
However, that was not
the end of my journey. I started to go to comic rental and rented the
manga version of FMA Brotherhood. It has the exact storyline as the
anime, so it was really relieving. The period of me renting the mangas
was around the end of my second grade until the mid of my third grade.
After that, because I have to prepare for exams, I did not have the
chance to catch up. And so, thanks to my busy life in campus, I never
had the time to continue reading. Luckily, I have a good friend of mine
who has the complete episodes of FMA Brotherhood anime!!! It happened in
the end of semester 2 in my freshman year. I tweeted about FMA
Brotherhood and he said he has all the episodes! Then, I copied them to
my laptop and wait for holiday to come.
After doing many activities and duties during
this long holiday, thank God finally I have real holiday. My willing to
finish watching this anime was also triggered by my juniors and a
colleague (who are also fans of FMAB) and pursued me to continue
watching. Indeed, one thing that made me put off watching
FMAB is because I’m not ready to face the sad ending (in case, it has
one). They convinced me that it does not have sad one. Therefore,
starting from the August 10th until 11th in the midnight (00.00 or
more), I successfully finished it! XD The first day was for episode
28-42 and the second day for 43-64(end). I completely did not go outside
my house during those two days. I stayed from bed to bed, sometimes
covered in blanket, and watched it in my laptop. Kinda isolated, but
that’s perfectly okay XD
Well then, that’s my three years journey. It put a lot of efforts, didn’t it? But it was all worth it!!! Why?
Because FMAB is AMAZING~ I think it’s rare to find such great anime
like this nowadays. I mean this is good in almost all aspects: the
characters, storyline, the artwork, the effect… What makes
me so faithful in this anime is the characters. Where in the world will
you find such brave, mighty, generous, funny, kind-hearted characters
like Al and Ed?? I also love some other characters, for instance,
Hohenheim, May, and Mustang. They made the story alive. I can imagine
the painful road Al and Ed had to go through because of the path they
chose… Perhaps I’m being too sentimental, but FMAB is so meaningful for
me. It teaches about courage, affection, faith, and to never give up
whatever the condition is-no matter how devastating life is. What a
story! I mentioned the tearful road before, and it’s true. I cried
during the last episodes, especially when Al sacrificed himself for Ed,
Al returned to his body, and Ed saved Al and brought him out of the Gate
(well, that’s plenty XD).
Even though the whole story is a tragedy, I am
satisfied with the ending. Al and Ed accomplished their mission to
recover their body (except for Ed’s leg) and damn! Al was so cool and handsome
when he fully recovered XDD When Al’s soul returned to his body, I was
like “Finally…” and tears streamed down my face T-T My other favorite
part is when Al, Ed, and Winry reunited again… Welcome home, Al, Ed :D
However I expected there will be something more between Al and May,
they’re sweet couple X”D
Anyway, it’s an epic conclusion. I’m glad I also
accomplished my mission to watch FMAB till the very end. I hope I can
watch the OVA too (still searching for available download links). So sad
but also happy knowing that it’s over, but hey, I still can continue
the story in my mind the way I want it to be, right? Imagination, let’s
play :p I also plan to read the ending part of manga version to find
whether there are extra stories (hopefully there are!!!) and to browse
the FMAB cool pics to collect~
Touching, beautiful, and unforgettable… Thanks, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood!!! :D Alphonse and Edward Elric, aishiteru yo!!!!!!
